I was forwarded a video recently about Jesus Christ. In the video He is walking towards a bus stop. The video was very touching and tears will roll down your cheek when you watch it.
Even though with all the bruises and wounds, the person who enacted as Jesus looked handsome in the video. Watch video.
After sometime watching the video, I remembered reading one of the verses in the Bible.
Isaiah 53:2
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
This verse is talking about Jesus Christ. Comeliness means - the quality of being good looking and attractive. But the verse clearly says there is no outward beauty in him that one should get attracted towards Jesus or recognize him as Jesus Christ.
For those of you who doesn't know - Jesus Christ comes from the land of Judea, south of Jerusalem. He is a Jew and has looks of a Jew and of that region.
If you notice around, we see a good looking Jesus everywhere. What you see in pictures and statues are portray of that artist.
But Bible tells differently. If Bible is the Word of God, then what should we believe? What Bible says or what men says?
May the Lord God help you to discern in His Wisdom and be lead by the Holy Spirit.
